Module 1.2 Objective:

  • Explore some useful websites on R

Tom’s Biased List of Useful R Websites

Websites devoted to R are ever increasing; those below are ones I consider written for novice or moderately savvy R users:

  • Link to basic R Manuals from r-project.org. Click on the named .pdf or .html files.
  • Basic R Tutorials on the Web
    • R Tutorial is a really nice site with a mixture of base R and statistical analysis in R
    • Quick-R - Perhaps my favorite site when I forget a basic R call
    • idre at UCLA Looks plain at the start, but has some wonderful links within the site. One of the best is the FAQ. It also has some great Learning Modules.
    • R by example requires some basic knowledge of R before it can be best used, but it does contain some great examples. Code is minimalist.
  • R Graphics Tutorials on the Web
    • CRAN site describing many options for graphs in R. A great starting point for graphics in R.

Mention of these sites does not constitute any form of endorsement on my part. I am also sure I have missed some good ones. If you have a favorite not shown here, please send an email with the link to: Course Contact
